Welcome to the Civil War Reenactors of Hanover PA
The Civil War Reenactors of Hanover are dedicated to to the reenactment and
educational presentation of history from 1861 to 1865. The Group presents
living history demonstrations, lectures,displays and participates in
representations of Civil War battles, camp life and support activities.
Member activities include a Civil War Tea, battles in Funkstown, MD;
Gettysburg, PA; Union Mills, MD; Hanover, PA: Middletown, PA: and Cedar
Creek, VA and participation in the annual Remembrance Day Parade in
Gettysburg PA. The group is affiliated with the Federal Volunteer Brigade, a
regional Union Army reenactment group.
The activities contribute to our exempt purposes by inculcating a better
understanding of Civil War life and fostering a better appreciation for the
feelings and experiences of the Civil War soldier and civilians whose lives
were forever changed by the American Civil War.
